FAQs

Why online coaching?

My online coaching works as a supplementary training method to refine dancers’ technique and artistry. I achieve fast results through a screen due to my carefully devised coaching method, personable and enthusiastic approach, as well as a meticulous attention to detail. I create a safe space for dancers using my life coaching skills, such as questioning as well as goal setting, to develop an intimate understanding of technical concepts and to build dancers’ confidence. This allows dancers to understand how to work with their own limitations and strengths in order to push their boundaries and maximise their potential.

What if I cancel?

Camille has a cancellation grace period of up to 24 hours before the lesson. If the lesson is cancelled without 24 hours notice the full amount will be owing. In case of emergencies it is possible to contact me and discuss the possibility of rescheduling.

What if I have never worked with Camille before?

Please fill out the application form before the lesson. This will enable me to learn more about your needs and background so that I can plan the session accordingly.

What do I do if I have an injury?

Please inform me of all injuries before the lesson. I will adjust the lesson accordingly and give you strengthening and rehabilitative exercises to help.

What studio does Camille use?

Besides online teaching and coaching, I use different studios around London for sessions including Danceworks, Pineapple and the West London School of Dance. I will let you know in which studio the lesson will take place in once the session is booked.

What do I wear?

Appropriate ballet gear (or workout outfit for strengthening work) is expected for all sessions. Hair should be neatly out of the face.

What is life coaching?

The aim of life coaching is to ‘facilitate another person’s learning, development, well-being and performance’ (Jenny Rogers, Coaching Skills). Life coaching helps people to reach their full potential by finding their own solutions and developing their own skills. Coaching is not about telling people what to do. It is about empowering them to solve their own problems through the use of questioning, challenge and discussion and then acting out that inspiration on the dance floor. A coaching session begins with the dancer setting the agenda for the meeting. From there the issues are discussed and plans are implemented to encourage action and change.

How can life coaching benefit me?

By addressing their emotional side, dancers are able to personal overcome obstacles and maximise their potential.  Our internal and emotional processes influence the way we view ourselves and the situations around us. Life coaching helps dancers to reframe thoughts in order to feel uplifted, inspired and in control of their own lives which is essential for dancers to feel confident, happy and at ease. As a trained dancer and life coach, I can help in very practical ways to bring out positive emotions and behaviour on and off the dance floor.

What age and level do I have to be to book a session?

I work with dancers from ages 7+. I coach passionate dancers at different levels to help the reach their personal goals.
